The view was wonderful. The bed’s mattress was terrible; the springs were too noticeable and caused back pain.

The building was spotless, breakfast was enjoyable, and the room was reasonably clean. However, the vending machines didn’t stock Pocari or Calpis, and it would have been nice to have smaller yukatas or jinbei for little children.

There were many types of baths, the staff were courteous, and the view was nice. On the downside, the fence around the open‑air bath obstructed the sightline, the food quality was low, the breakfast lacked protein dishes, the room had an odor, and both the futon and the bed were far too old.

The English garden was lovely and very soothing, and the buffet offered a wide variety of tasty dishes; staying in a Japanese‑Western style room let us relax comfortably. The only disappointment was that the milk I was looking forward to at the morning buffet was gone, and even after alerting a staff member it took a long time to be refilled.

All‑you‑can‑eat and an open‑air bath made for a very relaxing stay.
