The spot was perfect for kids, they adored staying on a farm, and it’s central to several child attractions.

We chose this spot mainly for its location: about 1hr 10 from home, 20 mins to the Ice Cream Farm, 30 mins from Chester zoo, and around an hour to a beach. The extra bedroom on the ground floor worked well for us, though some might want more “living” space because there’s only a large kitchen/lounge downstairs. The communal play area was a hit with my grandson, and seeing the farm animals daily right outside was a real treat. The property has a small private garden that’s enclosed, but our dogs could slip under the fencing and the farm dogs could get in; we just set up a “barricade” and it wasn’t a problem.

The surroundings were beautiful and the breakfast package was amazing.

We appreciated the complimentary cake, milk and eggs; the decor was tasteful and the furniture comfortable. The bedrooms were dark enough for summer with blinds and curtains, and the shower was powerful.
