There was a free soup and a drinks bar, and the toast with soup breakfast was nice. The bed was spacious and the room felt clean. It would have been even more convenient if I could leave my luggage after check‑out.

The location was fine because it was close to Kyoto Station, but the station is huge so you still have to walk a fair distance through it to reach the trains. We were on the 7th floor, so it was relatively quiet for how close it was to the tracks. The staff were not as polite as at other places we stayed. We had better service and facilities at other hotels of a similar price across Japan, even in Kyoto. I think this is probably better suited for Japanese tourists or visitors.
