“Nice small hotel in good location”
The staff were genuinely friendly, the location was great, and I enjoyed a table‑served breakfast every morning. The bed could have been better, though.

Located just 200 m from Agia Galini’s beach, Idi Hotel features spacious, air‑conditioned rooms with private bathrooms, TV, and fridge, each opening onto balconies adorned with bougainvillea and sea breezes. Guests enjoy a communal kitchen on every floor, a garden for continental breakfast, and free nearby parking. The town centre’s taverns lie 250 m away; Heraklion and Chania are 1.5 h and 2 h drives respectively.

In this place you feel at home; there aren’t many Greek accommodations like this left. The host, who has run it for 40 years, is excellent. Everything is top‑conditioned, from the plants in the small garden to the rooms. The parking situation isn’t easy.

The hotel is simple, close to the center of Agia Galini with shops and restaurants, and only about 10 minutes on foot to the beach. It’s run by a friendly, very helpful couple. The rooms are a bit old‑fashioned, as the photos showed, so no surprise there. Breakfast is very generous, with homemade dishes (ham/cheese pastries, zucchini/chevre gratin, vanilla cake…), fresh fruit, bread… top!

The room is large with two bathrooms and a terrace. The owner’s handmade breakfast is fabulous, served in a small covered garden. I thought there was no kitchen, but it’s on the second floor.

It’s a tough climb to the beach.
