The hotel is really nice and the view is stunning. The huge room is full of windows, so it feels like sleeping in the middle of a jungle. The staff are excellent—very attentive, friendly, and full of useful tips. Breakfast is good and plentiful in a beautiful setting. The common areas are gorgeous and spacious. The paid hot‑tub is a bit of a hassle; I understand scheduling is needed, but guests should only need a reservation. I don’t like that it’s chargeable for hotel guests. The location… I’m not sure who said it was great; I chose it for that reason, but in reality getting to the city center is a mess—tuk‑tuks that won’t stop, they quote a price then ask for more (something that didn’t happen elsewhere in Sri Lanka), but it’s worth it because the area is a paradise, the view is spectacular. Recommended!

The location and lounge were fine. There was no staff assistance during our stay, so we handled everything ourselves. We were put in a basement room with a shared bathroom outside the room, which was mentioned in the confirmation email but should have been made clearer by the hotel or on the booking page. The basement room itself was very unpleasant and shady, and basic services like bottled water, A/C, and room cleaning were missing. The bedsheets and other essentials were dirty when we arrived. Another issue was arriving late at night to find the gates closed, which should have been clearly communicated beforehand. We did enjoy the lounge, but closing access after 12 AM felt unreasonable, especially since we were on holiday. Better communication, cleanliness, basic guest services, and transparency about the facilities would have made a big difference.

The rooms were spacious, well ventilated, and the building was thoughtfully designed. The staff cooked delicious authentic Sri Lankan dishes. I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend.

The staff were exceptional, very nice and helpful, arranging everything for us. Breakfast was great and large. The room was huge and comfortable, though the furniture felt a bit outdated, it didn't affect our experience. Remember to take a tuk‑tuk each time you want to go somewhere, but the staff can help or drive you.
