The place was incredibly central, which we really liked, and the room was just enough for a few nights. Hot shower water, soap, shower gel, a separate hair dryer in the closet, clean towels, clean beds, and extra blankets in the dresser were all provided. A functioning safe for valuables was also in the closet. The room faced the street, so it was a bit louder in the alleyway (the houses were all built around 1900, so the structure is old), but we kept the windows open and managed fine. I slept much better than expected on the very soft mattress. Perfect for a short stay. On the downside, it's old (old city, old houses), it can feel musty when the windows are closed, the room keys can be tricky, and the beds are soft (though I slept better than I thought). Still, it's completely adequate, especially if you’re watching the budget.

The place is well located, but there is no cleaning service—three days with no cleaning at all, towels had to be fetched from a cupboard, and communication with staff was terrible.

The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The room was surprisingly quiet despite the busy location, so I slept well each night. The heart‑of‑Barcelona location was superb!
