The Palace Museum was an incredible find. The centuries‑old building has been lovingly and historically preserved, and you truly feel like stepping back in time. Being in such an amazing part of Porto, it’s very quiet and comfortable. We loved Maria and Carla (the owner and concierge, respectively). They were warm, attentive, and very hospitable, making us feel at home.

This is a one‑off, very special location. I couldn't believe we were staying in a room in a historic house.

The suite was really nice and well kept, and the location was fantastic—plenty of cool, chic restaurants and bars right nearby, and it felt more authentic than the typical tourist trap in Porto. There was no sound disruption, and getting to the bus and metro was easy. Maria’s kindness and hospitality reminded me of a high‑end Japanese hotel experience. Nothing problematic at all.

This is a unique place to stay. It’s a former grand home turned museum. The rooms are huge and very quiet. The location is very close to everything, yet it’s a beautiful retreat with frescoes and antique furniture. The hostess is very nice and greeted us with a chat about Porto and some port. This was a great place to stay.
