Our stay at the LaPrasmi hotel made our trip to Tomia even better. The hotel is well kept, clean and it has AC and hot water. Also, the owner and his assistant are just the kindest people. They've always been available to us and went above and beyond to make our stay just perfect. We'll definitely come back in the future

The hotel is spotless with a shower that has hot and cold water. The owner La Ode is very helpful and always up for a chat. He unexpectedly picked us up at the pier. For short trips to a dining spot we could use his motorbike for free. The receptionist, who speaks good English, arranged a car for a loop around the island and also the boats that took us to the snorkeling spots. If you go to Tomia, stay at this hotel!

I stayed at LaPrasmi for two weeks in April 2026. It is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are big and clean and the bed is comfortable. There is hot water and the AC works perfectly. There is also fast wifi. Laode, the owner, is so helpful and is always ready to answer any questions. Because Tomia does not have many restaurants, I was able to keep food in the fridge and could even cook a little for myself. Widi, a tourguide, who works at LaPrasmi speaks excellent English and arranged several trips around the island for me. She was also able to arrange a visit to the local school where we got volunteers for a beach cleanup. Like everywhere in Indonesia, Tomia suffers from plastic waste washed up on shore. She also arranged for me to meet with a local Imam to discuss these problems. Tomia is possibly the friendliest place I have ever visited. There is great snorkelling / freediving from Soha and Hondue beaches nearby and from Pombero on the East side. Laode has scooters to rent. Boat trips to nearby Sawa island can be arranged and the reefs there are some of the best I have experienced anywhere in the coral triangle. The reefs around Tomia are teeming with many species of reef fish, turtles and occasionally Blacktip reef sharks and Spotted Eagle Rays. I will definitely return to Tomia and LaPrasmi.
