“Good business hotel”

The room was clean and had enough space. The only issue was that there were no face towels, only bath towels and a carpet towel.

The meals served at Cafe 411 & Asian restaurant were very generous. Not something you see much these days. The only downside was the breakfasts, which had limited options.

“Fun and Adventurous (especially with wife & kids together)”

We were greeted warmly by the front office, housekeeping, and the Cafe' 411 team, all of whom were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. My wife, our kids, and I had a wonderful two‑day, two‑night stay, and we’re already planning more long‑weekend visits to Lae. The Hotel Morobe felt like the better choice over Lae International Hotel.

“I stayed at Hotel Morobe primarily for its location in the town and it was a convenient choice.”

The breakfast café offered a decent spread, including a buffet and a variety of dishes, and one waitress was especially friendly and enjoyable to chat with; the view from the breakfast table was panoramic and lovely. The restaurant itself was good, and the side room worked well for group meals. However, the bathroom sink was clogged, never drained properly, and the issue remained unresolved after we reported it. Walking down the street to the town felt uncomfortable because many unemployed people were loitering outside the shops.

There were no complaints about the staff or the hotel’s facilities, and the food at the restaurant was good.
