The room was clean, had breakfast items, coffee, tea, and a nice reading room; my bed was comfortable and the room was nice with very good amenities, but I didn’t like that the windows didn’t open and you had to go outside for fresh air.

All the thoughtful touches and proximity to everything you need in High Country, NC were great, but the front door is hard to shut so you can hear it from the room when guests are going in and out.

The house sat among the trees, and my room was very comfortable and clean; the down pillows were plush, and I could adjust the fan speed whenever I wanted. Checking in with the tablet was very intuitive. I didn’t realize it was a hostel‑style house, but that didn’t bother me; the listing was just a little unclear. I could hear people through the walls. I was confused about which food items were complimentary and which cost money— the snack bar was extra, which made me think other items would also cost. The whole interior was white and bright, which I personally found not very inviting. The shower pressure was very low.
