“A Wonderful Stay with Northern Lights Views and Excellent Coffee”

The staff were very friendly, the location was ideal for watching the Northern Lights, and the room was very clean. We also enjoyed a beautiful view of the surrounding lava field. Breakfast was good, especially the excellent coffee! The only downside was that the room felt a bit small.

“Magnificent scenery by the lake with a comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast”

The surroundings were beautiful. The communal area was lovely. Breakfast was excellent. I was lucky to see the northern lights. The windows facing the lake on the cabin were fantastic and provided great protection against what felt like gale‑force winds. The seersucker bedding was a bit scratchy, and the pillowcases were also scratchy. The rooms were very small but nicely appointed. The outdoor lighting needs to be shielded to get the maximum benefit from the dark skies.

A strong sewage smell hit us as soon as we stepped into the room, coming from the shower or toilet. We held our breath all night and were eager to leave the next morning. I doubt the owners had noticed this before. For the price paid, it’s absolutely not worth it.

“Overall a good experience! You can see the Noerhern Lights”

The location was pretty nice, the night we arrived the sky was clear and we were able to see the Northern Lights! Unfortunately the next morning everything was covered in snow and we were not able to see or visit anything around the area. The breakfast was pretty good, the only place that we had found pancakes!! The room was modern and clean. The staff (especially the guy who helped us get out of the snow) was great and helpful. There was not enough space to accommodate our luggage, we could not open them easily and have space to walk around. Considering the price we paid, we would expect it to be a bit more comfortable
