The hotel was shut for renovations even though we had a confirmation just two days earlier, which is disgraceful. After the closure we had to park in the nearby public lot and a notice at the entrance sent us to another hotel a little farther away; the receptionist on the phone was useless and even laughed at our situation. We ended up walking more than a kilometre with our luggage, exhausted, and finally took refuge at the Kyriad, paying €160 per night for a double room. I blame Ibis for claiming they couldn’t reach us; a confirmation two days before—especially when I was shuttling between two hospitals with a sore left knee—should have been enough. I expect a refund for the Kyriad bill; I have the receipt.

The welcome was excellent, the location was ideal, and the breakfast was decent.

Everything was great, the staff were very friendly, we were able to check in early and had breakfast at 6 am which was perfect.
