“Wow, what a delightful place”

This place is truly enchanting; the onsen was superb and spotless. It sits in a stunning setting with excellent nearby facilities and lovely walking trails (although many warnings about bear sightings made my partner a bit nervous, the bear bells sold at the on‑site gift shop definitely eased her worries). The real highlight was the staff—helpful, polite, and knowledgeable—making the space feel very welcoming. Breakfasts and dinners were all great with many options; this was the first spot we stayed at during our Japan trip, and it set an incredibly high bar that still hasn’t been matched (5 days). I can’t think of much that needs improvement; there was a language barrier with the staff, but they made a great effort and used available technology when other methods failed.

Experiencing a ryokan was interesting and very relaxing. The staff were extremely friendly. The food was excellent and lovingly prepared.

Everything was top‑class, from the large quiet room to the three fantastic onsens, the very friendly and discreet staff, and the experience of eating both dinner and breakfast. There is nothing negative to say about this place.

“接近完美的秘汤温泉体验”

The inn is located in the Asahiyama Onsen area and is the oldest natural hot‑spring inn in the region. The entire hotel was recently renovated, so the facilities and exterior are brand new; the bedding is super comfortable (they use a Japanese high‑tech product!), and the cuisine is incredibly delicious. The first‑generation owner’s daughter is Olympic top athlete Tomoka Takeuchi, so the inn is full of her influence, haha. I’ve visited many Secret Hot‑Spring Association inns; aside from the hot springs, this one’s facilities, food, and comfort are top‑tier, and I’ll definitely return! The only complaint: when I tried to get a stamp on the Secret Hot‑Spring Association booklet, the staff said you could only get a stamp by booking over the phone (and they were very insistent about it). It was a bit rigid.
