We really enjoyed our stay on the island. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Mohamed prepared an amazing breakfast every morning, and his mango juice was absolutely delicious! The boat transfers to and from the island were smooth and easy. A great place to stay!

Splendid guest house, perfect welcome (free drink, mango juice). The room is spacious and very clean. Everything works flawlessly. Incredible breakfast! The house boat to the city is a real bonus! During the low season I was the only tourist, and I was treated like a princess, protected from the huge heat! Thanks a lot to Mohamed who was very kind, showed me the island and surroundings – it was a real pleasure, and to Karim, the owner of the guest house. Nothing to add.

This is a true gem and an absolutely outstanding guest house – fully deserving its reputation! Located on the quiet side of Elephantine Island directly on the banks of the Nile, it offers a magical atmosphere – you can enjoy the sunset and the surrounding nature from the rooftop. It is also part of a calm, small village where you can find small shops within walking distance. The house and the rooms are new, clean and well‑equipped. What further stood out was the hospitality and organization of the guest house. From the very beginning, there was professional and responsive communication which made sure our questions or requests were always answered promptly. There is a free boat shuttle service – we were picked up from and returned to the main ferry station whenever we needed and we were also offered a free trip to the Botanical Garden. Our daytrip to Abu Simbel, from the boat transfer and packed breakfast to our last‑minute question about a Philae Island detour, has been one of the smoothest in Egypt, for a very reasonable price. The dinner was amazing, there is a varied menu with large and delicious options – it is very recommended to come hungry for the sunset as it is worth every bite. Overall, for an authentic Nubian hospitality, it is hard to imagine anything more! A special thank you to our boat captains, Kareem and Ibrahim; Mohamed for helping us, showing the village and serving food and drink during our stay; and his mother for the amazing dishes we were lucky to try.
