“It was(ps) great”
The staff were super nice and ready to help with anything; however, there were too many wasps in the room and on the balcony.

A great place, no complaints.

The resort is gorgeous and spacious, featuring several pools and its own beach area. The food was excellent, especially the crepes at the beach bar. However, a good mosquito repellent from dusk onward is essential.

“It’s not a standard 5‑star hotel,” the Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica manager said when we pointed out that our room looked quite different from the one on Booking. That comment alone proves it can’t be called a modern 5‑star property. From the moment we arrived, there was no bellman to greet us—something every 5‑star hotel I’ve seen has—so I had to carry my family’s luggage to reception, where they told me to bring it outside so it could be moved into our room. The room itself was modest, even shabby: white walls, tiled floor, no décor, a wooden door with a 5 cm gap that lets you hear everything in the corridor, cheap rounded handles, and odd lamps that take up the whole bedside table. We only received one pillow, not two or three, and it was inexpensive. There was no wardrobe, just a few hangers like in a dormitory, and no robes, which is a staple of 5‑star hotels. A nice fridge from Nienties sat alone with a safe above it. A strange piece that was neither a sofa nor a bed sat nearby with an unclear purpose. Outside, a terrace overlooked an olive grove, but a huge ventilation shaft made a constant, air‑sucking noise. The food was okay, nothing special, but acceptable. Coffee was a struggle: three different machines, none capable of a decent cup, and tired guests queued up fighting for them. Drinks were standard and not customizable. The staff mostly told us they weren’t working yet, regardless of the time or our requests, and then directed us elsewhere. Some were friendly, some not. The hotel office manager tried to be helpful, but that was the end—no response, no feedback, no action, nothing.
