Royal Pearl Suites

Room staff and guard are good, room facilities are good. The swimming pool is very poor, reception staff behavior is not good, and when I called them about my booking they didn’t answer. They also didn’t call me back, which disappointed me.

“Great”

The hotel isn’t on the main road, but reaching the beach is a 15‑20 minute walk down the street, with plenty of shops and restaurants along the way, which was nice. The staff—both the cleaning crew and reception—were really friendly. The rooms were spacious and better than I expected, so I’d come back. The only downside was the shower glass and faucets covered in limescale. The rooftop was empty and the shisha cost 2800 taka, which felt overpriced.

“Nice hotel but in a bad location. Can improve their cleanliness.”

I appreciated how roomy the room was, with plenty of light and good décor. However, the location is awful— the road is terrible and the neighborhood feels absolutely scary. People walking in front of the hotel give off unsettling vibes, especially towards female tourists, and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired; I even found a cockroach on the floor.

Stayed at the Royal Pearl Suites and it was a great experience overall. The place was clean, roomy, and nicely decorated. What really stood out was how welcoming and attentive the staff were to everything we needed.

“Best hotel at bad location”

The room service was pleasant and the buffet breakfast was excellent—more than 20 items, both local and continental, and the restaurant food tasted great. But the hotel’s location was a hassle; the roads were like typical Dhaka backstreets, especially bad during the rainy season, making getting around a pain.
