The stay was fantastic! The team is amazing: Gabi is always very welcoming, and Matheus and Grace made us feel super comfortable throughout. Every day the staff would swing by the room to tidy up and freshen things up, and it was great to return from excursions or the beach and find everything clean and arranged. Breakfast was always very good, and there were also some snacks available in the afternoon. The bath and beach towels were always available, which helped a lot. The location is perfect for those who want to stay close to the beaches: the lodge sits at the end of the slope of Vila dos Remédios, practically next to Praia do Cachorro, about a 2‑minute walk, and also very close to Meio and Conceição beaches. The lodge doesn’t officially offer parking, but for those who rent a scooter or buggy, you can park in front. I highly recommend Pousada Júlio Grande. Our experience was amazing! The only minor issue isn’t really about the lodge itself, but its location. Because it’s at the end of a slope, the climb up to the restaurants, the Vila dos Remédios market, or other spots in the area can be a bit tiring, especially for those not used to it. We rented a scooter and that helped a lot, but walking up is a climb that requires a bit of breath.
