The spot is great—central, tidy inside and out, plenty of shaded outdoor space, friendly staff, and a quiet night. The only gripe: the cabin only had air‑conditioning in the bedroom; a ceiling fan in the living area would have helped when the afternoon sun hits.

The lodge itself is fantastic—great service and a beautiful setting, plus the beach is just a walk away. The downside is the grocery store is a bit of a trek, and the gravel road can get nasty after rain; a larger SUV would have handled it better.

The lodge feels like a natural oasis—deck by the lake, calm skies, water, and forest, and the SUP experience is unforgettable. The only annoyance was the leaf‑blower motor whirring all day.
