The spot is convenient for getting to the start of a running race in Cartmel if you have a car, but the walls are extremely thin so you hear everyone in nearby rooms and on the stairs, the shower has no pressure and the head falls off when you try to adjust it, the room is old and basic with bad lighting, and an outside light stayed on all night because the curtains were so thin.

The setting is beautiful with amazing views— I sat outside watching the sunset with a G&T. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room had everything needed for a one‑night stay, and everything was clean and tidy. I didn’t eat at the Inn, so I can’t comment on the food. Nothing negative.
