“Decepção!!!”
After my wedding celebration with my fiancée, carrying boxes and bags, and joined by two elderly family members staying at the hotel, I was treated worse than I could have imagined. On Saturday night, as I entered the parking lot with my car, a hotel employee—if the hotel wants to know my name, I can give it—stood in the parking area, not offering any help, instead scribbling on a clipboard with a look of disdain. Everyone in the car felt awkward. When I got out, that same employee approached me, and after I told him I was a guest and gave my room number, he noted it, turned to me with a harsh tone, and told me to straighten the car because, according to him, it was crooked, which was untrue. He then sat at the front desk. With boxes, bags, my fiancée in a dress that made moving difficult, and two more elderly women who struggled to walk, we made our way to the rooms. The reception door had no automatic opening, making it hard for all of us to pass. To top it off, the employee made a mocking face as we passed. Another uniformed staff member at reception also didn’t even get up to say “good night.” Aside from this incident, which happened to me and may not happen to others, I want to warn other travelers looking for a hotel in the area: a nearby bar plays loud music until 2 a.m. (both weekdays and weekends). I was on the 12th floor, and the noise seemed to come from the adjacent room. The only redeeming factor was breakfast, which is the only thing that saves this hotel.
