The location was perfect, just a 5‑minute walk to the beach, and the room had a sea view; the staff were friendly, professional, and caring, and both my daughter, my dog, and I were completely satisfied—thanks! We decided not to use the pool because of the many mosquitoes that were also present at breakfast; a solution would be appreciated, at least until September.

The place had character and charm, and the staff were lively and fun, but the twin beds were pushed together—what a bummer.

Breakfast was plentiful and good—though in Italy you still have to give up German rolls. The room with a balcony was lovely and well equipped. The pool was nice and always clean; free towels were provided for the pool and the beach. The walk to the beach was short, and there’s a nice promenade with many restaurants. The rooms are a little noisy; in the adjacent room there was a snorer for three days that could be heard. The beach is, like everywhere in Italy, almost fully managed, meaning you have to pay for a lounge chair and umbrella.

The hospitality was fantastic, the setting rich in history and art, the room and bathroom comfortable, and the continental breakfast excellent, yet the room smelled closed‑in right after opening.
