“Room with a view!”
I loved this little hotel in Wengen, it’s close to the train (a short walk down the hill and back), the food was fabulous, the staff were lovely, we even had a free wine and cheese tasting night (nothing is free in Switzerland lol), learned about their history, the team and cheese, who knew you could rent a cow and get your own cheese! It was a lovely stay and I would come back in a heartbeat, no complaints.
Breakfast was great! Sauna is awesome. The cheese and wine tasting was incredible. Dinner is understaffed and I kept getting my beef entrecôte blue instead of medium

The location was perfect, the staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay flawless, breakfast and dinner were always fresh and delicious, we even enjoyed a wine and cheese tasting one night, we stayed at other hotels on our trip and they were good, but this one set the bar for sure, thank you Daniel, Tomas, Sophie and the rest of the team, we hope to see you again, and the picture of Jungfrau was taken from our balcony, by the way.
“Warm relaxing hospitality”
We were greeted by the warmest, most affectionate people at the reception desk, who chatted with us during the breakfast buffet; they were humble, personable, and took ample time to explain the region. The staff were not native Swiss but Europeans who have worked there, and it was just lovely. It’s a nice 10‑minute walk from the train to the hotel, but going up with luggage might need a cab, which the hotel arranged nicely. The buffet offered many locally sourced delights—croissants with different crisp crusts, honey, marmalades, local cheese, ham, juices, and more. They provide complimentary coffee next to reception, a great play area for my kiddo, a library to sit and enjoy, and you can sit outside in the garden and enjoy Jungfrau; they can also arrange dinners if you book in advance. The climb up to the train station is something to keep in mind; people may expect flashy modern properties and could be disappointed, but we were very happy without air conditioning.
