“Lovely but expensive for the room.”

The location was great, the service was good, and the food was delicious. The room was small; we paid London prices and expected more. Other rooms were offered at more than half the price we’d paid on the nights we stayed, which is just bad luck. We were told the high prices were because Henley regatta was on, which finished the previous week. The room was comfortable but tired, especially the en suite that needed a lick of paint. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The restaurant food was very good, all delicious. There were beautiful tea cups in the room, but we needed much larger cups or mugs.

“Beautiful area, nice pub, couple cleaning issues.”

The décor was tasteful and the bed comfortable. The area was beautiful, and breakfast was great. A few small spots were missed during cleaning, like the metal rail under the sink and the top of the coffee machine. The coffee machine had no pods, but that wasn’t a big issue since we brought our own. One small frustration was that there was no TV remote, and we had to ask four times before we were told we could use one from another room. The path leading to the rooms was covered in moss that had probably fallen from the roof, and there was also bird mess. Without care, it would have been easy to walk it into our room. Breakfast was nice but there was no gluten‑free bread, which meant my wife missed out.

“Wanted to stay longer!!!”

You definitely need a satnav 😅 It’s in the most idyllic country setting, and the Inn and barn look like postcard scenes from the outside and inside! Nothing negative—hope to stay there again!

The location was fine, but the room could have been cleaner – there was no sugar and the coffee machine was jammed with 16 used pods that we had to empty ourselves. On Sunday morning we went to breakfast only to be told we weren’t booked for it, even though we had a confirmation; the staff simply said “Oh okay” after we showed it.

“Country Pub & Restaurant with rooms”

I had a very comfortable stay with high‑quality linen, towels, toiletries, and a comfy bed, and the breakfast was excellent. A few maintenance and housekeeping issues arose, but I discussed them with the owners before leaving.
