Nothing. My family was recently traveling from Atlanta to San Antonio. We booked all of our hotel stays and choose La Quinta Inn for each booking. When we reached the La Quinta Inn at El Dorado, AK. A family was standing alone at the check in desk. After waiting a few minutes, I asked them how long they had been waiting. They replied they had been there for 15 minutes and had not seen an employee. Another family joined us in the lobby to check-in. We all waited another 15 minutes, and no one appeared to assist us at the check in desk. We then split up and searched the building. This is a small hotel with only two floors. We could find a single employee in or outside of the building. After waiting for a total of 45 minutes a young man walked into the lobby. He appeared from the hall. He did not introduce himself. He did not apologize for our inconvenience. He sauntered to the desk and simply stood there. We all began to ask where he was and why there was no staff in the building. We explained how long we had been waiting and that we were ready to dial 911 as we were concerned something was terribly wrong. He grunted and shrugged his shoulders. Our family as well as the other family who arrived after us felt unsafe in this property, so we left and drove across the street to another hotel. We continued our journey and spent the night at three other La Quinta Inns. Our experience at these locations were very good! Columbus, MS, Tyler, TX and San Antonio, TX.
