The owner couple were very kind, and the room, toilet, and shower were clean and comfortable. The meals were delicious, and I appreciated the free tea. They held my luggage before and after check‑in/check‑out and let me borrow a bicycle, so I could enjoy the island at my own pace. The shuttle to the port and everything else was very helpful. Lunch was also tasty. No complaints.

Eating on the balcony made me feel close to nature and forget everyday life. I lay in a hammock and felt the tropical vibe. The food was tasty.

It’s close to Nakamoto Beach, so I could reach it quickly by bike or on foot. The deck and sofa in the garden were comfortable, and after touring the island I could relax on the deck. The place was clean and the food was good, including the cafe lunch. I liked how they put the canned beer in a nicely chilled glass. With so many drink options, I’d like to try more on the deck next time.

The rice was good! The only thing that bothered me was the lizard noises—I couldn’t see it, but the sound was annoying.

The place felt very personal and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. From the moment I arrived I felt at home. Namiko takes great care of guests; she speaks a little English, but we communicated easily and used a translation app when needed. After booking they messaged me, answered questions quickly, and everything was simple and very clean. The Japanese food was delicious and carefully prepared. This spot and Kuroshima Island feel like a small paradise. The rooms are traditional Japanese with tatami mats and futon beds on the floor, and there are hammocks to relax. Free bicycles and a free transfer to and from the port are available. It’s a perfect cycling island. A washing machine is also free. Places like this are very rare. For me, it’s one of the best places I’ve ever stayed.
