The rooms were tidy and the location wasn’t bad, yet there were ants in the property and the live‑music bar street made it extremely noisy up to midnight.

The hotel's location was ideal for our early train departure the next day, but that's about where the positives end. The place is showing its age, with a grimy carpet and a lot of noise. Not exactly the most comfortable stay.

We only stayed one night at this hotel, but it was perfect for our needs - it's right across from the Chiang Mai train station. The room was spacious and spotless, and the hotel staff even helped us with our train tickets and stored our bags for the day. Not a single complaint to make.

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the action. However, the rooms could do with a bit of a refresh – the bathrooms and hallways are starting to show their age.
