“Maravilhosa!”

Excellent at Vila Barroca. The owners Álvaro and Aída, plus the gentle cat Sofia, are a delight! It’s worth staying at the inn that makes up Praça São Francisco, a UNESCO heritage site. I really enjoy the atmosphere of a baroque house!

“Instalações maravilhosas bem no centrinho”

The hosts were super friendly and made us feel right at home. The house itself was gorgeous, with old furniture kept in great condition, roomy rooms, and top‑notch sheets and towels. Breakfast was delicious, and watching the street fire procession was a real treat. I honestly couldn’t find anything to complain about.

Aida and Álvaro were amazing—so welcoming and easy to talk to. Breakfast was great, and the place was spotless. The bed felt a bit too firm, and the Google map location was wrong, so it was hard to find the spot. Also, it wasn’t clear that the room didn’t have a private bathroom.

The welcome from Professor Álvaro and Dona Aída was exceptional—felt like family from the start.
