The hotel sits just a 15‑minute walk from the city centre, and the room was spacious and reasonably clean. Unfortunately, after taking a shower the entire bathroom flooded because there was no shower cabin, even though the listing photos showed one; for a 4‑star property I expected not to have to mop the floor before using the toilet, so that was a disappointing experience. The pool was fine, but I couldn't use it because a swim lesson for a few small children was taking place; it's great they’re learning, but for guests the pool was unavailable, though the whirlpool bath was an alternative.

There were no toiletries in the bathroom—soap was missing from the sink, the shower cabin was dirty, paint was peeling from the pool ceiling, and the breakfast was weak.
