Sasi Africa Luxury Tented Bush Lodge in Bergville offers renovated safari tents with private balconies overlooking the Drakensberg mountains. Each tent contains a kitchenette, ensuite bathroom, and modern amenities. The lodge features an infinity pool, spa, sun terrace, open‑air bath, pool bar, and outdoor fireplace. Located 34 km from the Kaalvoet Vrou Statue, it provides hiking, walking tours, free Wi‑Fi, and shuttle service.

A gorgeous, tastefully designed tent with its own pool was a highlight; the food was excellent and the staff incredibly friendly. The surroundings were especially memorable—giraffes, ostriches, and antelopes simply roam the grounds, set against the Drakensberg backdrop. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Nothing negative.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the location is beautiful with abundant wildlife like giraffes, zebras, kudus, and other antelopes. The lodge itself is tastefully decorated, comfortable, and the meals delicious. However, while there was a lovely pool at the main lodge and a private pool at our unit, neither location offered loungers or comfortable chairs by the water. The lodge is very quiet with limited activities unless you pay extra for game drives, so a relaxing outdoor seating area would be a welcome addition. It also wasn’t clear from booking that guests cannot self‑drive to view game within the reserve, and the guided drive feels pricey for a non‑Big‑5 reserve; most similar lodges include at least one game drive in the stay price, which would enhance the experience.

The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and efficient, and the views of the mountains and lake were lovely—truly a great place.

A beautiful tent lodge in the middle of nature with animals, a special experience. We enjoyed the 1.5 days, and the half‑board covers everything. Lunch can be booked on site, and all kinds of drinks are available at a normal, reasonable price. The location is somewhat mediocre; we just wanted to chill for two days, so it’s very suitable. Leaving the car at the gate means you’re dependent on the lodge. Breakfast (and dinner) offer only one alternative, so if you don’t like certain items it’s hard to change.

A fantastic accommodation right in the middle of beautiful nature, with stunning views and wonderful wildlife. The luxury tent is built to surround you completely with nature and is beautifully decorated. Very warm hosts and world‑class staff—Brendon and Mthoko were incredibly friendly, took amazing care of everything, and fulfilled our every wish. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and prepared with a lot of love.
