The historic palace is very pretty. There were no air‑conditioners or blinds, so it was impossible to sleep in the dark.

The receptionist was polite, but the apartment was dirty—dirty socks were found behind the door. The shower on the top floor had no pressure, making it almost impossible to wash the kids with just a trickle of water; we immediately called to report it and were told that other guests were using the shower, so we had to wait for them to finish. That’s unacceptable! The building may be historic, but basic services must exist. They charge upfront, so if there are problems you’re stuck.
