The location is great – a cozy pub right across the street, a nice breakfast, but the private parking was occupied at night when we returned, so we had to find another spot, which wasn’t easy – otherwise everything was lovely.

We’re back for a second stay because we felt truly welcomed from the first arrival; everyone was courteous and the rooms were tidy, the central spot kept the nights quiet, breakfast was generous and beautifully arranged, and the little courtyard under kiwi trees was charming—thank you. We did wish a kettle had been in the room for hot drinks before breakfast or on day trips; we didn’t ask for one (we brought a small rice cooker), so I imagine we’d have gotten one if we’d requested it.
The location is top, breakfast is great, everyone is super friendly! We were on a mega hot weekend, so a fan in the room would have been a nice improvement.
