The location is good, we were welcomed warmly and the bed in the spacious bedroom was comfortable; the hotel is old and the stairwell looks original, the bathroom was fine but could use a refresh, though it was perfectly serviceable and clean. I would stay here again. The stairwell was quite difficult to negotiate with large suitcases.

The room was quiet, spacious, with good bedding, a comfortable mattress, and especially a low‑volume pillow; the restaurant offered good value with regional dishes and very good service, breakfast was adequate, and parking was free. It’s close to the old town. The translucent bathroom door was hard to operate, which was annoying for a midnight wake‑up for my partner, and the paint near the baseboards was shabby.

The location is calm and the staff are kind, but the room on the third floor has no elevator.

The hotel is within walking distance of the city centre, and free street parking is close by; coffee and tea facilities are available in the room and a bakery is a five‑minute walk away. However, the small room has slanted walls that make it easy for a tall person to bump their head, and a man cannot pee standing up because of a low slanted ceiling above the toilet. Only two sockets are usable (unless the dimmer lamp and kettle are plugged in), a shower curtain that is too narrow leaves the tiny bathroom splattered with water, the mattresses feel soft, and the Wi‑Fi is slow.

The hotel’s charm, great location, and friendly staff made the stay enjoyable, but the lack of an elevator was inconvenient.
