The room was cozy, and the kitchen was just outside the door, which was great. The stairs are steep, so not ideal for those with mobility issues, but overall the place was clean and comfortable. Upstairs was very quiet—no TV, so no noise through the walls. Walking to nearby shops was easy. The downstairs karaoke was a bit of a surprise, but it stopped around 11 pm on weekdays. The room wasn’t fully soundproof, and the train had to honk its horn as it crossed the nearby railway line.

The hotel was conveniently close to a fantastic Italian restaurant. The beds had electric blankets, which we didn’t need because the room was warm enough. The bathrooms were clean and well presented. However, the bed’s headboard rattled against the wall whenever we moved, and the bathrooms were located down the hall. The heater in the room was unusable.

The pub owner was warm and welcoming, the craft beers were superb, and the goat curry was simply amazing.
