“Estancia ruidosa”
The mattress was comfortable, the room was spacious and clean, and they left a bottle of water in the fridge. The pillows were very uncomfortable, there was a lot of outside noise, dogs were barking, and the neighbors were very inconsiderate. The location is unsuitable because it’s on the highest part of the city and you have to climb many steep hills to get there. Not recommended for children.
The apartment was prettier than in the photos, the balcony view was exceptional, and the cleanliness was good. I wasn’t informed in advance that there was no parking on the property and that we had to leave the car in a private parking lot.

The terrace with a view of Etna was great, and the bathroom was very nice and beautiful. The furniture, painted a horrible gray, was terribly unattractive, and there was a slightly unpleasant smell in the room.
I found the place calm and clean, with plenty of natural light and a fantastic balcony view. Walking up the hill from Taormina centre on hot days can be pretty exhausting for some, but overall it’s a perfect spot to unwind after a full day of exploring the crowded city centre. The owner was very flexible and responded quickly, and the coffee was a big thumbs up! The downside is that the owner has three large dogs whose walking and drinking noises can be heard even late at night, and you can smell them in the hall, which is a bit unpleasant, though the room itself is fine.

The balcony view was nice, but our stay was quite disappointing. The reception wasn’t particularly warm, and a strong dog smell wafted through the stairwell upon arrival. In the room we also experienced sewage odors; the shower drain needs proper sealing to prevent the smell from rising, which made the stay rather unpleasant. Additionally, the accommodation was poorly equipped—only small espresso cups were provided, so we couldn’t even drink a simple glass of water. A more complete set of amenities would be much appreciated. It’s a shame, because with a few improvements the experience could be much better.
