The pictures matched reality: we had a spacious, clean, and ready room even though we arrived a little early. We appreciated the communal fridge on the landing because we stayed a few days, and the parking was handy for using it as a base for coastal path walks, with a short walk into town and the beach. Communication with the host was easy and efficient, so we’d stay again and recommend it. A few drinking glasses were missing in the room, but mugs were available and the host supplied fresh ones when I asked, which was great.

We had a wonderful stay at Harbour Lights Guest House. The house is very large and comfortable, with all the facilities you could need. Our bedroom was massive, with a lovely wardrobe and an extremely comfortable bed, and the view out to the sea was absolutely breathtaking. The location is excellent: the house is just a step away from the Rodwell Trail, the old railway line that’s now a walking path connecting different points along the coast. From there it’s easy to walk to the beach and other attractions, and the bus stop is also very close, making it simple to get around. Good private parking spaces were available, which was very convenient for us. Charlotte, the host, was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The property is so well located and very well equipped, and we would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The room was nicely sized with an excellent view over Portland harbour, and all the usual facilities were in excellent order. It’s a 20‑minute walk to town or bus stops right outside the property for your convenience. The car park is good sized and the host is excellent, so highly recommend.

The room was nice, clean, and spacious. The only downside was that the shower had very little pressure.
