The location was very good and the breakfast was tasty, but the seating was limited to just chairs, which became a bit uncomfortable over time.

I had booked a room with a terrace, yet I was given a room without one; only after other guests cancelled did I receive the correct room.

I liked the location and the cleanliness of the room, and the breakfast included fresh scrambled eggs. However, I was promised a double room with a terrace, yet I received a single room without a balcony. The furniture was broken; the armchairs wobbled, the fridge had to be turned off or it would keep me from sleeping, the shower lacked a door for three months, and the TV didn’t work. Some pieces were antique and the place urgently needs renovation. We didn’t complain because the house lady was a senior and seemed to handle everything alone, which felt inappropriate and was a mistake. The rooms were never cleaned during the six days; there was a note in my room saying cleaning would only happen on explicit request, while my friend was told in the middle of the stay that we had to take our own trash to the bin. Breakfast was organized, and on one day the house lady wasn’t there; a guest was in the kitchen acting as a substitute. On departure we were charged a “Kurbeitrag” and an additional bed tax that had never been mentioned. When asked, they said we were in Cuxhaven and that was all they could do.

The location was the best part, and it was generally nice, but I won’t book there again. I had booked a room with a terrace, but I received a room without one. The comment “What is confirmed is not relevant to me” was made.
