“From what we read on the website -did not live up to our expectations”
The location was good and the staff were pleasant enough, though they seemed short‑staffed. The “double” room we got was very small and cramped; the ensuite took up most of the space, leaving little room for the bed and no space on either side. The decor was dated, and mold was visible in the bathroom area, which was very disappointing.
“Characterful and comfortable, bedrooms need updating”
The garden was lovely and the staff were friendly, but the room was small, the bathroom was outdated, and the breakfast was overcooked.
“I would definitely choose to stay in the hotel again. Perfect for visiting the many historic sites”

Breakfast was amazing and the room, bathroom, etc. were immaculately clean; the bed linen and furnishings were high quality. The staff were fabulous, very friendly, and nothing was a problem.
