“Nice older style hotel in picturesque Port Sunlight”
The building itself is lovely and sits in a nice neighbourhood with plenty of free parking. It felt a little quirky because the hotel entrance differs from the pub entrance, making it tricky to open and close unless it’s already wide open. The breakfast room is separate from the pub, which is convenient for both train and bus travellers. The building is old, yet the room windows are sealed shut—why? Breakfast is cooked to order, but you have to wait an hour from when you leave your room until you return, assuming the breakfast room is quiet; if it’s busy, I can’t imagine how long it takes. There’s no cask ale in the bar—does Greene King even know that? The new TV in the room was nice, but there was no guide on how to use it, though that’s not their fault; it’s just that I’m old.
