Antlers on the Creek was a great choice for our long weekend; it feels rural yet is only ten minutes from town. The breakfast was fabulous.

I was pleasantly surprised by the place—our host greeted us warmly and walked us through the public areas. The room itself was roomy and incredibly cozy, and the hot tub was just right for two, offering several spots to unwind with strong jet pressure. Every morning’s breakfast varied and was truly fantastic, clearly using fresh ingredients and local recipes; each day felt like a treat. The grounds were breathtaking, featuring a stream, pond, waterfall, picnic table, plenty of comfy chairs and loungers, a two‑person hammock by the stream, and quiet spots to gather. Inside the main living room, there were plush chairs and sofas, plus high‑end board games such as chess with 8‑inch pieces, Monopoly, Clue, and Scrabble—something I'd never seen before. The location was perfect: on a large property on a quiet lane, yet only five minutes from downtown Durango. If you book here, you won’t be disappointed! The only downside was that the walk‑in shower advertised in the room description had jets that didn’t work, though the tub itself was still a lovely soak.

Breakfast was excellent, and the Inn’s location is superb. The building itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, a smoke alarm started beeping in the middle of the night, which was annoying, and there was no emergency phone number provided to call for assistance.
