The property is huge yet tranquil, surrounded by a protected forest. Host Romain was exceptional, always attentive when we needed him but never intrusive when we didn’t. We wish we could have stayed longer than two nights! The château’s attention to detail is next level, full of history and elegance – simply superb. No negatives; it was perfect.

The history, location and host Romaine were highlights. We enjoyed scenic walks around the lake, and Romaine showed us the beautiful tower and chapel, which were filled with exquisite artworks and decorations that were truly breathtaking. Our room was stocked with antiques, giving us the feeling of living more than a hundred years ago.

The historic venue and its stunning grounds made for a unique experience during my month of travel across France. The hosts were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The only downside was that we couldn’t stay longer!
