Aalbæk Badehotel

“Dejlig hotel i rolige omgivelser”

A very cozy hotel with a very nice location in lovely Albæk; bright and clean rooms with all conveniences; absolutely fantastic, friendly and welcoming staff who gave plenty of good advice for a pleasant stay; especially worth mentioning the restaurant that serves fantastic food and has good service; everything was perfect.

“Ruhiges kleines Hotel mit ausreichend Parkplätzen und hervorragendem Restaurant”

The hotel sits in a quiet spot and the rooms are located in the annexes, so there’s no disturbance from the main building. The restaurant comes highly recommended. The breakfast feels a bit sparse compared to other places, and there’s unfortunately no elevator to the upper floors.

The staff were quick to refill the breakfast if something ran out, and the room on the first floor was nicely positioned with the sun coming in right from the morning. I’m not a luxury seeker, so I didn’t miss anything.

“Overnattingssted greitt for gjennomreise.”

The breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable. The room had a glass door entry, and the only window was next to the door that opened onto the hotel’s arrival area. A pipe in the ceiling that fed the radiator made a whirring noise that made it hard to sleep. I complained the next day and was offered a 400,00 DKK upgrade. The beach is a 1 km walk away, there’s no pool or spa at the hotel – can it really be called a beach hotel? It felt more like a B&B. The hotel looked worn but clean, and there were no lounge areas to find. The staff were friendly and helpful.

“Alt var fint. Skulle bare bruge en enkelt overnatning i forbindelse med gennemrejse.”

The breakfast was lovely and the location nice, but everything seemed fine.
