The car was parked right in front of the room, the restaurant was spacious and clean, and the location was perfect for a morning walk by the beach. However, the bathtub and sink were not clean, the furniture looked old, and the bathroom door needed a fresh coat.

The hotel sat on the beachfront, letting our dog run around a lot. The on‑site restaurant was good and the staff very friendly. It was very close to ferries and the tunnel. The rooms were small, but that was fine for just one night.

The location was excellent and the price was very good for the area. Security was very poor: the main door to the bedrooms was open from outside the hotel, rubbish piled up in the stairwells—bags of laundry were stacked unsightly—and the hotel looked very worn.
