Very little aged property. Very noisy—could hear other guests in the backyard and bedrooms. Charged £80 for parking. The manager was abusive and argumentative.

The location is good. No check‑in codes, and nobody answered the phones, which was really stressful.

The bedding was clean. We had the information to gain access if someone wasn’t there, and someone was waiting to let us in, so that was fine. The overall look was very tired.

I had a really pleasant stay at Alister Guest House. The room was very clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location was convenient, and the whole property felt welcoming and peaceful. The host was friendly, helpful and made me feel very welcome. I would definitely stay here again and happily recommend it to others. Nothing to complain about. Everything was good and I was very happy with my stay
