The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the restaurant was delicious and cozy, and there was a direct access to the water with lounge chairs. However, the swimming area was not very suitable because the water was dirty, the rooms were quite basic and could have been cleaner, and the shower delivered very little water.

A simple room, clean, and great value—everything a solo traveler needs. Some rooms are in traditional Batak‑style houses, and it’s really nice to see them preserving these traditional homes. The location is excellent, right by the lake with a beautiful view. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I absolutely loved my stay at Bagus Bay Homestay! The gardens were beautiful, the room was clean, the shower was hot, the staff were friendly, and the homemade pizza was fantastic.

The accommodation, the food, and the welcome were all excellent; the room was very good and the garden was magnificent, making it an authentic place to experience Batak culture. The downside was the very early rooster crow and the fact that smoking is allowed in the restaurant.
