“Grandi aspettative piccole delusioni”
The location is close to a Bedouin beach. The prices for excursions aren’t clear, and they even asked us for money for the water we were drinking at lunch.

The staff are very friendly, but the facilities need work, the menu prices aren’t written, and the beach layout could use improvement.

The place is very calm and serene, giving a camping vibe but with proper rooms, fans, and AC that works at night. It’s a unique experience between a hotel and tent camping, letting you enjoy a primitive calm life while staying comfortable. The only issue is that it feels a bit old and needs renovation and good care. The location isn’t that convenient either; the beach in front has become abandoned, and there are no supermarkets or restaurants nearby. The food is decent, but if you want something different or new, options are limited.

The only thing worth mentioning was the food prepared by the young woman – fresh and genuine – and the elderly gentleman who acted as a waiter was very kind. Apart from that, the experience was terrible: the place is run‑down, dirty and managed with little transparency, feeling like a scam. After this trip my husband and I are convinced that many glowing reviews are completely fabricated; we’ve traveled worldwide on far smaller budgets and always found decent lodging, whereas this site is shockingly neglected and filthy. We knew we’d signed up for a camp with limited light and power, but basic bathroom facilities were missing: the toilet was disgusting and plagued by serious plumbing issues, the flush jammed constantly and forced us to refill the tank by hand each time, and water leaked from under the bowl with every flush. The shower was also dirty and rusted, offering only cold water – which, given the May heat, was the lesser of our woes. The cabins themselves seemed haphazardly thrown together with no sense of design or safety; a little care could make the place passable, yet none is evident. The location is simply not worth it, sitting about two hours from the airport and requiring a crossing of a busy truck road to reach the front beach, where the noise continues through the night. The beach is littered with plastic and surrounded by abandoned structures that create an unsettling atmosphere, a condition that persisted all three days of our stay in mid‑May. As for animals, the camp hosts many dogs – friendly and vaccinated but poorly supervised, covered in large ticks. One morning we woke to roughly six stray dogs fighting with the camp’s own dog right outside our door, which was quite frightening.

We have no positive points. Everything is. we’re filing a police complaint because there’s no water, everything is dirty, the receptionist charged us 20 euros for a lunch and told us not to tell anyone because the lunch actually cost 200 EGP (as he later admitted). We want to file a complaint on Booking and get our money back because this place is a scam.
