The location was good. It smelled like cooking fat, the bed wasn’t the best, and the shower cubicle was very low and tiny.

The owner was fantastic and did everything possible for us; we loved our little chat in the bar area that made us feel so welcome. Nothing else.

We didn’t stay long at the Fairhaven because we met up with friends in Blackpool and left early the next morning, so we didn’t try the breakfast. The welcome was very friendly, and the bar/lounge and dining areas looked very nice and clean. The room we stayed in was very clean, although in some spots the wallpaper on the ceiling was peeling off, which I’m sure can be easily fixed.

Breakfast offered a wide range of options, and the spot was spot‑on with short walks to sights and the shopping centre; the hosts were very friendly and great with kids, but the parking was a hassle.
