“Extremely Dissapointing...”
I’ve stayed here four times before, so I knew what to expect, but this time after booking the room I received a message that evening saying breakfast would not be served that weekend—a detail that should have been available at booking. I also didn’t get a confirmation message for the pin to unlock the key box outside the hotel for later arrivals. I rode a motorbike all day and night in a downpour from Croatia through Italy, Austria, and into Germany, arriving at 11 pm cold, wet, and exhausted, unable to enter the hotel. I had to hunt for the hotel’s phone number, and when I called, the lady answered saying her husband would be arriving with a key 20 minutes later; after two more calls he arrived and I had to make payment that evening before being given a room in an adjacent annex building—not the hotel. This is not the experience anyone would want after an 850 km motorcycle trip in bad weather. I won’t stay here again. The hotel wasn’t busy, maybe one or two rooms, but the owners should have followed procedure and left the key in the box with a pin to open it. His attitude during this scenario was as if I had inconvenienced them. No apology, no explanation. They turned an arrival into a chaotic inconvenience. Not acceptable at all!
