I stayed in a single room that was big enough, the bed was comfy, and I slept like a log. The hotel sits right across from the monastery, so it’s super quiet. There’s plenty of private parking right in front of the building. Dinner is served on a large outdoor terrace with a wide menu – pizza’s on the list too. Breakfast is also outside and comes with eggs, sausage, jam, and loads of pastries.

The hosts were fantastic and the atmosphere was lovely. If I’d known the monastery bells start ringing at 5 am, I wouldn’t have slept with the window open.

More “being” than “appearance.” It’s clearly a hotel with history. The room was perfectly renovated, everything was spotless, and the staff were very friendly.
