“Secluded and peaceful amidst the heavy construction work.”
The staff are friendly and the place is secluded. It’s a perfect spot between big resorts and feels like home when you’re out and about. The gardens are attractive and well maintained. The restaurant is excellently positioned, and we used the chairs and tables on the boardwalk every day. It’s better than most larger resorts during redevelopment because the pool is set back in a closed garden area, yet you can still see the ocean. The photos are accurate. We ate at the family‑run Warung Budi Ayu; the duck betutu and hospitality make it worth stopping in Candidasa. The massive redevelopment means heavy equipment all along the shoreline. It will be great in a couple of years, but for now, if you just want to lay on the beach in front of your accommodation, go elsewhere with your hard‑earned holiday time and money. There’s a tiny bit of sand at very low tide and a no‑swimming sign. The property looks lovely but needs some brightening up on the timber work.
