I was charged a higher rate than what I booked for. The room I apparently booked looked run‑down compared to the photo and didn’t seem pleasant to stay in; they then offered me a better room and said I’d have to pay more, which I ended up doing. Very unpleasant stay at this property.

I stay here every year. If there are no hiccups and you’re traveling, it’s pretty decent, not wow but good for those who understand. There’s a pool on the premises, a restaurant, and it’s not noisy. The building isn’t new, but there is a newer block. Overall, for $10 it’s quite reasonable.

The hotel sits in a great spot, just a short walk to the main town, markets, and bar street, and most of the staff were friendly and happy to help with tours and the like, plus the pool area is nice. The breakfast menu was quite limited and the staff mixed up a few orders, probably because of the language barrier.
